Billy Mayes went on to be the Town Clerk & the Billy Mayes room in Civic Centre is named after him.
George Wright went on to be Station Master of Portadown Station.

Jack Wilson was the undertaker, Tam Liggett won a Military Medal in the first World War. At least four in the photo' worked for the Gas Work Company.

On his knee T Best has the cup which was won by Eden Ville FC in 1929-1930.The certificate he is holding also confirms they won this cup.
We would appreciate help from anyone that can tell us where the photo was taken & which league or final they won.

The photo shows those ladies who represented the Wade factory in a Portadown ladies factory soccer tournament in the late 40's & 50's.
The photo was taken at Shamrock Park.
We believe the person on the extreme right of the photo to be May Prescott.
We would like to hear from anyone who can identify the team.

The keeper Sam Forbes,middle row fourth left,who emigrated to Canada,went on to play for Portadown. He was the goalie at Shamrock Park in 1947-48,the club's first season back in the Irish League after the War.

Portadown’ s water supply used to be pumped direct from the River Bann with it so steam pump where the Regal cinema/ entertainment centre is now.

An old photo showing deliveries to Brankins Pub around the 1900.
The gentleman standing in centre of gateway is believed to be Thomas Brankin, The gentleman on extreme left of photo is believed to be Eamonn''s great grandfather Thomas Brankin.

The photograph was taken about 1900, Brankins Bar then would have been considered to be on the edge of town, nowadays the site would be considered as the centre of The Tunnel. Obins Street.

Brankin''s used to board people and stable horses in the buildings at the rear of the Pub.
